Family Visit

My mom and sister came to visit for the weekend. They were able to be here for one of my doctor's appointments and our ultrasound. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I got of the four of us. We went to the Fisherman's on Friday night. It was so nice and relaxing. It was great to have them here and see their excitement about our pregnancy. We are looking forward to seeing them again in November when we go home for a visit.

Ok, so you can't really see the belly that well in these pictures, so I am forced to post the hideous pics. Just remember, focus on the belly nothing else!

Ok, this one is a little scary looking, I admit, but let's focus on how cute his little hands by his face are...angelic almost! The pictures weren't as clear this time because he was moving around so much and he is getting bigger and there isn't as much room as last time. We still loved watching him move and open his mouth and suck on his fingers...so sweet. Look at that hand down below, I think he is already starting to take after his daddy!It is really beginning to freak me out that he is almost as big as some of the babies I have been taking care of. This ultrasound they said that he weighs 13 oz., that is 390 grams. Some of the babies that we have in the unit are as small as 500 grams. He better not even think of coming out any earlier than he is supposed to!

Santa Barbara

We went to Santa Barbara this past weekend for a little fun and sun, and to attend a wedding for a special couple. Briana and Jonathon are friends of ours in Laguna Beach. I work with Briana and Paul and Jonathon golf and play softball together. They got married at the Firestone Winery in Santa Ynez. It was a beautiful ceremony.

The reception was in the barrel room, it was so unique. Everyone sat at one very long table and it was cozy and romantic.

We had so much fun! Weddings always remind me of the covenant Paul and I made 3 years ago and it helps us to renew our promises to each other. We pray Jonathon and Briana will always honor their covenant to each other and to God.

A little piece of heaven on earth...

One of the places we love to go is San Clemente. It is a small beach, and not usually too crowded so we love to go there and watch the waves and walk on the beach.

This is another place we like in San Clemente, The Fisherman's. It is on the pier and there are glass railings that surround the whole eating area. It is the perfect place to watch the surfer's, and hear the waves crash as the sun sets. Their clam chowder is not too bad either!

Weekend Getaway

We went to Las Vegas for the weekend and met our best friends from Colorado there. It was VERY hot, but so fun to see them and their parents and little boy. We walked around to several of the hotels, ate yummy food, went to the pool and saw Celine Dion's show. It was a great weekend!
