I love my Bumbo seat

Just because...

...he is so cute!

Mother's Day

My first Mother's day was great. We celebrated with our mothers at different times and on Sunday we celebrated our best friend's youngest son's dedication. The best part was spending some quality time with my two guys. Paul took Hayden and I to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe, which brought back memories of our trip to Chicago. All in all, it was a great day! With a little help, Hayden signed my card! Paul got me "With Affection" to add to my Kim Lawrence collection. I love it!

We finally got a picture of the new babies! Sarah and Carson (Austin where are you?), Dani and Quinn and Me and Hayden. What adorable little guys!

SO behind on blogging!

At this point I have decided there is not enough time in my day to go back and try to blog the last 3 months of Hayden's life. I have been keeping up on his milestones and special moments in his baby book, so not to fear, I have kept track of things, just not on the blog! So in an attempt to redeem myself with those of you that don't get to see him on a regular basis, here is a smattering of the cutest baby I know. Enjoy! The first picture is Hayden when he was 5 days old, and in the same outfit at 5 weeks old, he is growing so fast!
Hayden's first bath at home at four days old.
Hayden and Daddy enjoying some time together before we moved back to Colorado. He was only 8 days old in this picture and he was so alert.

The first time in his new swing at two weeks old. He was so small!
At home after his three week check up. He weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. and was 22 inches long. He had grown two inches and gained 1 lb. 9 oz. since birth! He likes his milk!
Daddy giving Hayden his first bottle. Now he goes from breast to bottle without caring at all. I guess as long as he gets his milk he doesn't care what the source is! He looks so skinny in this picture, now he has rolls on his arms and his legs are a little chunkier!
Paul and I really think Hayden looks like my Dad. He is wearing his "Grandpa" outfit in this picture, a polo shirt and jeans. Some people say we think he looks like my Dad because he is fat and bald, but I think it is because they are both so handsome! We love you Dad!
Smiling at his fishes on his play mat.
I love it when he stretches!
Smiling at Mommy.
Like Father like Son, Hayden sleeps just like Paul.
He loves to look at this rainforest toy, he even "sings" along to the music.
My mom holding Hayden after his shots. He didn't feel good at all, but after 24 hours he was back to his healthy smiling self.
Wearing my puppy dog shirt from Auntie Kim in California.
All ready for the cold in his doggie mittens and his winter hat, we won't mention that it was April!
Hayden and Mommy.
This is the latest, Hayden at 11 weeks. I might be biased but I think he is the most handsome guy. I promise I will do a better job of keeping up on the blogging from here on out. Soon I will post pictures of Hayden's dedication on May 4th.

My first Valentines Day

Mommy will you be my Valentine?

Greatest Gift

Well the day finally arrived. Monday morning we went into the hospital to be induced.

My mom was able to come into town to be a part of this blessed event. She was so great to have there. Thanks for everything Mom.
It was a pretty quick process and I was fully dilated by 1:30 pm and then started pushing at 3:30. Hayden was sunny side up and it took a couple of hours of "laboring down" and pushing to meet him. He arrived at 5:50 pm and our lives changed forever. Excitement isn't even enough to describe the feelings we have been feeling.
My greatest gift...Hayden Jett, weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz., was 20" long and worth every minute we waited. Proud Daddy. Paul gets the husband of the year award by leaps and bounds, soon to follow I am sure by the father of the year award. He was the most amazing and supportive labor coach, participant in the delivery and has gone so far above and beyond for me and our son in the last week that I am just blown away. He never ceases to amaze me...what a Godly man.
Proud Grammy. I don't think the smile has left my mom's face since she arrived in town. Hayden is so lucky to have four wonderful grandparents and will soon get to meet the other three.
OK, he wasn't as long as we all anticipated, but his feet sure are big. They almost didn't fit in the boxes!

Getting ready to go home. He wore his "flight suit" that I gave Paul when I told him he was going to be a daddy. I found this outfit at The Gap when we were engaged and bought it in anticipation of the day we would have a baby, whether it was a boy or a girl. It was surprisingly too big on him, but still adorable.
The happy family. Max meeting his brother for the first time. He is still unsure of what it is exactly that we brought home but I am sure in time he will learn to love him...or at least when Hayden starts dropping food from his highchair!
At home in his first pair of jammies (thanks Kristi) on his changing table. It feels so great to have him home with us.

Visit from Mom and Ash

My mom and sister came to visit us and were hoping that they would be here for Hayden's arrival. Well it was a good visit, but no baby yet. Here are the three of us at the beach:I have to warn you before you see the next picture...it is scary. All I can say is I hope I am never this big again in my life, and lets all just focus on the baby in the belly not the swollen giant woman who is carrying the baby!

January in California

I can't help but share this picture with our family and friends back home...this is California in January. It is so beautiful! I love the flowers that are always in bloom and the grass that isn't dead and brown and the ocean...there aren't enough words!

Christmas in Laguna Beach

Paul's parents came to see us for Christmas. Paul's mom works for a Vacation Rentals company and was able to get us a fabulous place in Laguna Beach to spend some days during the Christmas holiday. The view was gorgeous, and the house was cozy. It was a great way to spend some relaxing time during the holidays. Here are some pictures of the house:

There were fresh roses on the dining room table and in the master bedroom, it was the perfect touch. The ones in the master bedroom just happened to be my favorite, sterling roses.
The house wrapped around a little courtyard area that you could sit in or grill or admire the orange and avocado tress growing in the yard.

The view during the day. The wall of the living room, kitchen and dining room was all windows in french doors and it so peaceful to be able to see the ocean all day long. It was certainly a nice change of scenery from our apartment. Thank you Ray and Donna for sharing it with us.
