A little excitement

So last weekend there was a funnel cloud VERY close to our house. While Hayden and I were in the basement for safety, Paul was on the porch filming!

My three boys

Aren't they handsome?

Hayden's Nursery

I have had many requests to post pictures of Hayden's nursery. I had so much fun doing it, and it was nice to finally have a space for just him. I really like how it turned out. We love the quilt that Nona made for Hayden, now we can look at it all the time!
You can't really see the things on the shelves but they have some frames I made for his polka dots theme, my teddy bear from my childhood and some other fun keepsakes. On his dresser are the bookends that I made of his initials, HJK.
This shelf has some of the picture frames I painted for his room, and of course...his first monkey.
I also painted the airplanes and they have pegs on them so you can hang things from them, like hats, coats, etc.

What?! Can't you do that??

It is almost impossible to change Hayden's diaper these days. Not because he wants to rollover all the time, being on the changing table discourages him from doing that too much, but because he won't get his toes out of his mouth! I am not complaining though, he is too cute!

Hayden and Josiah

Our friends Tommy and Michelle have a little boy that is just 5 days younger than Hayden, and it is so fun to see them "play" together. This is a picture of them at 3 weeks old, they have changed so much!

Hayden is 6 months!

Our big boy is halfway to his first birthday! At his appointment he was 18 lbs. and 10 oz. and 27 inches long. He long passed doubling his birth weight! He is developing right on track and getting bigger everyday. He is officially in his big boy car seat too! His feet were squished up against the back seat of the car so we made the switch. We still have a couple of pounds left in our infant seat but frankly we were getting sick of carrying him around in that thing! He is doing really well eating his solid foods, and still enjoys his milk. He is up on his arms and knees but no crawling yet, but he manages to roll himself where ever he wants to go. He is still sleeping great, 10 or more hours a night! He has the best little personality and temperament, he rarely fusses or complains about much. We are so blessed to have such an amazing little boy!

Hayden's Blankie

So I stopped giving Hayden his blankie at night and during nap time because he does this...I had it laying over the edge of the crib, like usual, but today he decided to get it for himself. I guess he really likes his blankie.

Carrots!

So I guess this is what Hayden thinks of his carrots. I'd like to think that he is saying, "Gee Mom, thanks for making organic pureed carrots just for me!"

Sitting UP!

Hayden has started to sit up by himself, unsupported! He is so cute, but now you can't get him to lean back AT ALL. In the bathtub he insists on sitting up, as well as in his stroller and you can forget about cuddling, unlesss he is really really tired. He is such a big boy!

New things!

Hayden has started doing so many new things. He started sleeping on his tummy, which freaks me out but what can you do...he started eating rice cereal...he has started drinking from a sippy cup...and he has two teeth! He has also been "swimming" quite a bit. It has been a busy couple of weeks!
(I don't know why he is sleeping sideways in the crib, he is all over the place depending on his mood!)

Happy Anniversary

July 23rd was our fourth wedding anniversary. It has been an amazing four years, we can't believe how much we have done and accomplished. Time has flown by, but we have so many great memories as a result.
Nona and Papa watched Hayden so we could enjoy dinner at Maggiano's. It was great to spend some time together and talk and reflect on our last four years and dream about the years to come.
Paul gave me the most beautiful lillies. On our wedding day I carried white Calla Lillies, but I love all kinds of lillies.
I started collecting Kim Lawrence's Circle of Love sculptures after we got married. Paul got me "Treasure the Moment" to add to my collection.

4th of July

This 4th of July was a little busier than our average 4th of July...it was Max's 4th birthday, Hayden's first Independence day and we moved into our house!

Please keep praying that the bank accepts our offer for the short sale, our loan was approved so we only have one more hurdle to go.

Just an average Saturday morning...

Hayden likes to wear his robe and slippers on Saturday mornings while he enjoys his milk and newspaper...

On the 4 Wheeler with Papa

Hayden was a little scared of the noise at first, but then he liked sitting up there with his Papa.

Splash Party

Hayden and I went to a splash party at The Guibord's yesterday. He loved being in the kiddie pool for the first time. It will be so fun to put him in the big pool soon. Here is some of the fun:He was fascinated by his hand in the water, he kept moving his fingers and staring at it...and of course then putting it in his mouth!
His mouth is where all of the toys ended up!

Hayden is 4 months old!

I cannot believe we have a four month old! Time has just flown by. He is more precious (and fat) everyday! I love to watch his little personality come out. At his checkup he was 16 pounds, 1 ounce, he has gained exactly 8 pounds since birth. He was also 26 inches long, putting him in the 75 percentile for height and weight. He is wearing almost all 6-9 months clothes! He is a big boy, but I do have to say this picture makes him look bigger than he actually is.

My new jumper

Nona and Papa got this for Hayden for one of our shower gifts. We forgot about it because all of our stuff is in their basement. We got it out this week and it is Hayden's new favorite thing. He has figured out that when he jumps it makes the lights and music turn on. He likes to spin himself around in the seat, but the other toys that don't light up or make noise don't really keep his attention too long.

(Side note: I never thought I would be one of those parents that keeps a bib on their kid all day long, but with the constant drool lately it has started to become a must! Now I know why people do it I guess!)

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Paul! You are such a great dad, thank you for all you do for Hayden and I (and Max). We love you and appreciate you. Thank you for being such a godly man.
It is so fun to watch you with Hayden, he loves you so much.
To celebrate Paul and my dad we went to the Grand Lux Cafe after church on Sunday. We had a great time, and enjoyed some yummy food. After lunch we celebrated with Ray and Donna at Cold Stone, it was a great day.

My first bubble bath

Hayden was sick last week, we all were actually, but this bubble bath seemed to make him feel a little better. Looking at these pictures you would never know he didn't feel good, he is such a good boy.
