Family Vacation

Last weekend, the three of us went back to Orange County to see some friends and show Hayden where he was born. It was SO much fun, we did not want to come home.
We woke Hayden up at 4:30 am to get to the airport so he was one tired little guy.
The first night there we went to The Fisherman's, in San Clemente, which was our favorite place when we lived there. I think Hayden loved it just as much as us!
Friday night we stayed with Jenn. Her boyfriend Richard, came to dinner with us. After dinner we went to Yogurtland, which is so yummy! Hayden thought he was in heaven because he got to have some yogurt too! He actually got to have lots of things he doesn't get to have at home, cookies galore, pancakes WITH syrup, the list goes on and on...but that is what vacation is for!
On Saturday morning we met Jessica and Charlie at The Pancake House (another favorite). Charlie is going to be two in July and you would never know she was a premie! It was so good to see them and visit, although we missed seeing Will (he was shooting a wedding).
A California boy at heart! He was rockin' his beach outfit!
He loved the water, even though it was a little cold, he did so good!
Hayden's first boogie board lesson. Thank goodness there were 2 RN's and 1 RT there after he fell off! It was a little scary for me, especially when I was behind the camera!
He loved the sand, he even liked how it tasted!
Hayden is not the only one enjoying his day at the beach, here are Rob and Paul body surfing.Saturday and Sunday night we stayed at Rob and Kim's. Hayden climbed right up in Kim's lap to eat her edamame, he comes right out of his shell when you have food!
Jenn, Kim and I at Rob and Kim's for a BBQ.
Hayden swam in Rob and Kim's pool between naps, he was exhausted from all the activity!
We had such a great time catching up with friends and hitting up all of our old favorite spots. Thanks to everyone for having us and being so good to us! We miss you guys and can't wait to get back!

Hayden's latest trick

He thinks he is pretty clever!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all the Mommy's out there. I had a great Mother's Day and I hope you did too! All I really wanted this year was a big kiss from my little guy...he normally gives them out generously (and wet I might add), but I had to beg for one...
..until he gave me the BIGGEST kiss and wouldn't stop! It was so funny, and sweet!

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend Paul and I went to Las Vegas to spend some time together and to see Dave Matthews Band in concert. It was so great to get away and enjoy some time together, especially because Paul had been traveling for work all week. We stayed at the Wynn, it was beautiful and our room was spectacular...a tv in the bathroom! The pool was amazing and relaxing. We saw Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin and their two girls at the pool which was pretty neat. It was very fun, but we were actually really ready to get home to our little guy! The concert was AMAZING! We have been wanting to see DMB for so long, but it just never worked out. This concert was at the MGM Grand and Jason Mraz opened for them. He was really good as well. It was such a great time!
They played for THREE hours, and they are so great live!
Here is a video of the concert for your enjoyment!

Summer...

We can't wait to see more of these!

Playing in the curtains

Hayden loves to play in the kitchen curtains...

Easter...a little late!

Last year, Hayden was only 2 months old at Easter. This year was much more fun! He loved his Easter basket and was so good in his new nursery class at church. We are looking forward to many more years of egg hunts and him being able to understand what Easter is all about.
His favorite thing in his basket was of course, the books! He didn't really care that he didn't get to eat any of the candy...well he might have had a few jelly beans.
Hayden loves his Aunt Ashley. He gets so excited whenever she comes over. Doesn't he look so handsome??
