Decorating for Christmas

We were so excited to get our tree up and some of our decorations out this year. Hayden loved getting up on the big ladder and helping Daddy and Papa.
We were so grateful to have Nona and Papa's help this year. My big belly and I just weren't the ones for the job! It also went so much faster to have their help.
We hung on to our old tree and last year started the tradition to let Hayden decorate it with our childhood ornaments as well as the ones he is starting to accumulate. He had a blast, so of course were excited to see what he would think this year. He loved it even more this year. He wanted to put each ornament all on the same branch! It was pretty funny. It will be so fun to have both kids here for next Christmas.
He was so careful with each ornament. It was adorable.
The finished product! He was so proud of his accomplishment. Every night he gets to turn on his tree and it is so fun to watch his excitement. Christmas is so much more fun and even more meaningful seeing it through his eyes.

BIG belly!

Here is my belly at 33 weeks. She is a growing girl and we couldn't be happier to have her on the way. It will be even better once we get to see her sweet little face.
Me and my special guy. I hope Linley is even half as sweet as he is. He is so compassionate and loving, it blows us away.

Beautiful Baby Shower

My mom and sister threw me the most lovely shower. It was so adorable, they didn't miss one detail. I felt incredibly special and blessed.
The favors were so appropriate, bags of coffee! They say "A baby is brewing". We also had bags of coffee as our wedding favors, those read, "A perfect blend". It was a very cute memory.

My mom and sister decorated the shower with the frames that I made for her room. It was special to be able to share some of her ultrasound pictures and my belly pictures with everyone.
I loved the diaper cake my sister made. It was so cute and BIG! It took a while to take a part, but we are so thankful for all of the diapers that it included.
As you can tell, her name is Linley. Linley Grace Kent. We had a very hard time deciding, but we love her name and can't wait to see her little face. Hopefully, she looks like a Linley!
How cute are these adorable cupcakes? They tasted just as good as they looked!
Mommy, Grammy and Aunt Ashley. My mom and sister threw an amazingly beautiful and special shower. Baby girl and I are two lucky ladies.
Mommy and Nona. We are so happy to be around our families during this pregnancy and are looking forward to getting to spend so much time with them after she arrives. We are so happy that our kids have four amazing grandparents that want to be a part of their lives.
I was astounded at the amout of gifts we received. Her little closet is bursting at the seams and we have so much to be thankful for.
So many friends and family came to the shower to help us celebrate our little girl. We are so loved and feel so blessed to have all of these people in our lives.
We love this little "I love daddy"outfit that Nona got for her. It is so tiny, I can't wait to see her in it. I wonder if she will be smaller than Hayden was.
I have loved collecting all of these girly things. Her room is just about done and I can't wait for our little girl to be here. We feel incredibly blessed to have a boy and a girl. Hayden has been the best little boy a parent could ask for and we can't wait to see what blessings our baby girl will bring to our lives.

Setting up for baby girl

Hayden has been very helpful with all things baby lately. He is so interested and seems to have a great grasp of what is to come in the next few weeks. He helped Daddy put the crib together and is so sweet about helping with whatever we ask of him. He is going to be a great big brother!

My handsome boys

I just love this picture of Paul and Hayden before church, so handsome!

Halloween

My cute little fireman. He loved trick or treating again this year. However, he didn't want to say trick or treat until he saw what candy each house was giving out. At one house, he even said, "what you got for me?" How embarassing! Needless to say, we are still working on our manners!

Nate and Anna get married

The last weekend in October, we traveled to Nashville for Nate and Anna's wedding. Paul got to be a part of the bachelor party, rehersal dinner and ceremony. He was the most handsome groomsmen in my opinion.
The wedding was outside and it was a gorgeous day. The trees were huge and full of the fall colors I love so much. The had a very lovely and meaningful ceremony. Nate's brother Kyle married them and he did such a wonderful job. Kyle and his wife sang at our wedding, so it was so nice to see them and catch up.
I love capturing the "bigness" of my belly at this stage of pregnancy, however, I don't love capturing the cankles that came with flying. I keep telling myself, it isn't forever!

Paul's friend Dan and his wife were gracious enough to let us stay with them while we were in Nashville. Paul and Dan have been friends since highschool, and when they were together, very little has changed in 11 years! They were a lot of fun to be around.
Paul, Nate, Dan and another groomsmen Darren. Paul got in some great "guy time" while were there. I think it was much needed and he had a relaxing weekend.

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went to a pumpkin patch with Grammy, Nona and Papa, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Melissa, and cousins Korban and Ian. It was a lot of fun, and I think the adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids. Paul and Hayden launched gourds across a field, it was pretty cute to watch. I thought they were too pretty to launch so we also brought some home. There were so many new baby animals, and I mean new. There were triplet goats that were 3 days old, two sets of twin goats that were 2 days old and 2 calves that were 1 day old.
Our favorite part of the whole day was picking our own pumpkin. The pumpkin patch was 35 acres of pumpkins of all sizes and colors. Hayden had a blast looking for the perfect one for him and picking one for his baby sister.

Belly Bump

Here I am with baby girl at 26 weeks. I am feeling good and she is moving all around. She is breech right now, so I don't feel her in my ribs like I did with Hayden and I can still breathe pretty well. We are getting excited to meet her!

Weekend in California

We spent a weekend in CA visiting our friends and relaxing. Hayden and Paul got to meet Luke (or Lukey Pookey as he calls him) for the first time. He was so good with him, it was very sweet to watch!
We of course had to go to the beach. Hayden was VERY excited to go and once we got there he didn't want to stay out of the water, unless of course it was sand castle time. Even when his lips were blue and chin was quivering he didn't want to stop! He is a true California boy at heart.
He enjoyed burying my feet in the sand. Next time I think we will bury daddy's whole body!
He and Paul worked on perfecting their sand castle skills.

Luke's first time to have his toes in the sand. He is so adorable! Love the hat!
The only time I could hold him down to get warm, and it only lasted a minute or two.
He loved going in the ocean with daddy. I can't wait until we can bring BOTH of our kids to the beach. Hopefully baby girl will like it as much as the rest of her family!
Even though the water was freezing, Paul and Rob braved the cold to body surf. Kim and I enjoyed staying warm on the sand.

We grilled at Rob and Kim's and Jenn and Richard came over. The ladies had Shirley Temple's courtesy of Jenn. The guys also enjoyed the girls' drinks, legs crossed, Richard even has his "man bag"!
To say Hayden loved their pool (or TWOOOO pools, as he would say) would be an understatement. He loved jumping off of the spa and swimming to the step. He got really good at kicking and blowing his bubbles at the same time.

Rob and Kim were amazing hosts as usual and it was so fun to get to spend some time with them. We can't wait until they come brave the cold and visit us someday.
Paul and I had a great time together and it always brings back so many memories of when we lived there. It seems impossible that Hayden only lived there 11 days with us. Someday we'll be back...
****We were also very lucky to spend the whole afternoon with my friend Jess and her precious daughter Charlie. Hayden loved playing with her, even if it was kitchen, dolls and dress up. He is already a ladies man! Jess took some great pictures of them playing together. I will post them when I get them.
*****We also got to see Jenn and Richard, which our trip would not have been complete without. I am sad to say I don't have any pics of us with them. We will make up for it when they visit us in October! Can't wait!
