Thanksgiving

This year's holiday was very special. We were fortunate enough to have both of our families together for the holiday. This is the first time since we have been married that we have celebrated Thanksgiving this way. It was so wonderful not to split the day between two families. We had great food and great company. It reminded us how thankful we are to be surrrounded by such wonderful family!

Snow day

Last week's snowstorm provided lots of fun for my boys. Hayden and Paul shoveled, Hayden did many a face plant in the snow, and Max got covered in microscopic snowballs that he carried all over the house!

Hayden loves to help shovel, but doesn't quite have the stamina that is takes to do the whole driveway, so he was the supervisor.

Happy Birthday

I had a fabulous birthday. Paul surprised me and took the day off and we spent some quality family time together. That night he took me to a yummy dinner, which I am still paying for at the gym!

My family came over to celebrate with us this past week, so it stretched out my birthday a whole week. Ice cream cake, yum!

Weekend in Paradise

I was lucky enough to spend my birthday weekend with some friends in Orange County. It was so great to see the girls and to eat at some of my old favorites and make some new favorites! The weather was great and the ocean was beautiful as always.

Friday night, Jenn took me to a place for dinner in LA, called Lola's. It was great food and the biggest martini menu I have ever seen!
Saturday, Jenn, Kim and I went to the Corona Del Mar farmers market, which one is one of my favorite places.
Then we went to The Fisherman's for lunch and shopped around Laguna a little. Sunday morning, Jenn and I went hiking in El Moro Canyon. It kicked our butts, but it was awesome.

Thanks girls, for making my weekend so great! Don't you want to come out and play in the snow now?

Halloween

Hayden had a great time on Halloween! After church, Nona and Papa, and Grammy came over to go trick or treating. He was excited to put on his costume, but he didn't really know what trick or treating was all about, until the first house couple of houses. He was so cute, at first he wanted to go in everyone's house. After he realized he was getting candy (which he's never had, so I don't know where the fascination came from) he would run down the driveway, and say "more, more"!He tried to eat this piece with the paper on!He quickly forgot about his loot when we got home and he saw the bowl of candy for the trick or treaters. He thought he would just help himself! Here he is enjoying his first sucker. I think he is in love with this holiday now!
